This old deck was installed without the proper use of flashing behind the ledger board. this caused the house wall to decay which made the deck unstable and it began to collapse. We repaired the house wall and replaced all of the damaged sections of the deck framing. Then we laid down new Trex Enhance composite decking, and installed vinyl railings.
